Where Our Story Begins

Hello,
This is Young Back Kwon, founder of Jovely Kitchen.

Before I talk about our products,
I want to begin with a simple story —
the reason this brand exists.
🍲A Memory from My Mother’s Kitchen
When I was growing up in Korea,
the warmest moments of my childhood happened around the dinner table.
My favorite meal was my mother’s doenjang stew,
always served in a small ttukbaegi.
It arrived at the table bubbling.
Steam gently filled the room.
And somehow, everything slowed down.
That bowl did more than hold food.
It held warmth —
the kind that brings people together without saying a word.
🌎What I Missed After Moving to the U.S.
After moving to the United States,
I realized how much I missed that feeling.

Meals were still good —
but they cooled too quickly.
Something was missing, not in taste, but in experience.
Then it became clear to me:
The warmth I missed wasn’t just the food.
It was the bowl that held it.
🔥Why Jovely Kitchen Exists
In 2019, I began introducing authentic Korean ttukbaegi to American homes.
Not as a novelty.
Not only as Korean cookware.
But as a bowl designed to keep food hot — and moments warm.
Ttukbaegi moves naturally
from stovetop or oven
straight to the table.

It’s simple.
It’s durable.
And it lets meals slow down, just a little.
❤️Our Belief
We believe warmth is not a small detail.
It is part of the meal itself.
A warm dish invites conversation.
A warm table invites connection.

That is what we hope to share —
one bowl at a time.
Thank you for being here at the beginning of our story.
Warmly,
Young Back Kwon
